Hi, Roy. My name is Jason and my
fiancée is Mary and we picked up our little Charlie from you in early
September and our lives have changed forever with nothing but constant
happiness and pride. He is the sweetest, smartest little bundle of joy in
the world. Mary and I are so glad we took the trip from Atlanta that late
evening to pick him up. Thanks, Roy from your friends in GA: Mary, Jason,
and Charlie! (Date posted 01/02/2008) |
Hi, Roy! It's me, Miss Goldie Lynn,
checking in to say hello! I'm living in Columbus, Georgia with my seven year
old pup, Sally Seabass, who was born at your kennel on 4-23-00 (Sebastian
O'Rex is her papa!) I call her my little powdered donut...she is SO white!
We have the best time together playing in our backyard. Just thought I'd
drop you a line to say hi and so all my other pups could catch up with me
and see how absolutely adorable, happy, and healthy I am!! Take Care! (Date

Hi Roy. A year ago my husband and I purchased a puppy from
you and I just wanted to let you know that we are so happy with him. Billy
Bob is such a calm, sweet, loving, and obedient dog. He is so spoiled! Other
than sleeping in the bed with us and our other basset Lily, he gets a lot
toys, walks, and hugs and kisses. I went on your website and I was so
excited to see that you will be breeding his brother (from the same litter
Thompson Peanut and Roxie) Vaughn's Sergeant Rock. I thought I was looking
at Billy Bob when I saw his picture. I think when you start to breed him we
will have to get another puppy! Thanks for breeding good quality dogs. Paul
and Ashleigh Stagg, LA (Date posted 01/06/07) |
Hello, I got Mia back in
August of 2005. I just wanted to say thank you for adding so much joy to my
life. Mia is everything I could ask for. She is a really great dog. Everyone
who sees her falls in love. Andrea Aveiga, Bethlehem PA. (Date posted

Hi, Mr. Roy, I am sending you
a picture of Gumbo ready to celebrate Mardi Gras. He loves everybody he
meets and also every dog he meets. He is very friendly. You may find this
difficult to believe, but he is smart, too. Our daughter wants to dognap him
and take him to live with her! He is almost nine months old now. Martha

Roy, Here is a picture of Cletus posing with Santa Claus.
He had his first birthday on December 7th, and we couldn't have asked for a
more loving pet. He loves to "play" with our cats and chase his toys in the
backyard. Cletus is much more energetic than we expected, but that's a good
thing. Thank you for providing us with such a great pet. Merry Christmas,
Suzi & Randy Kirk (Posted 12/15/05) |
Mr. Roy, Attached is a current
picture of Jackson "War Eagle" Myers. He was a pup of Digger & Kisses, born
on December 7th 2004. He is almost 4 months old now and weighs 26 lbs.
Jackson is a very healthy and active pup. He is very mischievous and loves
to make his dad chase him around the yard. :-) He sleeps in the bed with us
every night in the middle of course. Jackson doesn't meet a stranger and we
get tons of compliments on how cute and handsome he is. We refer them all to
your site. He has been a great addition to our family and is spoiled rotten.
We love him very much. Thanks! God Bless You Tim & Linda Myers Alabama

Hello Roy I was viewing your website again today and
thought that I would send you a photo of Mistee Azure. She is from Bronson
Digger and Ms Buttered Biscuit born Jan 1 2003. She has had two litters of
pups so far and is due to have her third litter the end of April. We love
her and she loves all of us so much that she begs for hugs. I would like to
get another pup in the future from you because she has been one of the best
bassets we have had so far. Vernon De La Vergue, WA (Posted 03/17/2005) |
Hello! I bought a puppy from you. He was from Digger and
Kiwi Kisses. I just wanted to share a photo of him. He is WONDERFUL!!! We
Love him SO MUCH! We named him Digger Bruce, but we call him Diggs. Thanks
Again! Becky Helton Bruce Cleveland, TN (Posted 01/14/2005) |
Hello Roy-We drove all the way from Hagerstown, MD to get
Dexter (DANN206D) and would do it again in a heartbeat. He has a fantastic
personality and he is a joy to be around everyday. We just wanted to let you
know how great he is doing and how happy he is. His favorite toy is our
kitten, Maverick, who is about the same age as Dexter. Here is my favorite
picture of him so far. Thanks again and we will keep you updated. Sincerely,
Will, Chris and Zac Cline Hagerstown, MD (Posted 12/20/2004) |
Hi my name is Sally Jones you might remember me you brought
watson up to my home at Lake Martin. This is how my boy looks now at my new
home in Montgomery. He is a great friend to me and all of my grandchildren.
He is a beautiful dog and everyone just loves him. He thinks he is the king
of the neighborhood. He watches out for his friend Bugger my seventeen year
old Maltease. I just wanted you to see an updated photo of him. Thanks Sally

| Roy and family, I'm writing you to say thank you. Lupie has been a wonderful edition to my life. My parents bought lupie for me to help me get threw a tough, life changing event. In 2002, the day after Memorial Day, I collapsed at school. They rushed me to the hospital, where I soon had a "mild" heart attack. I was only 25. After spending fourteen days in the hospital; I was discharged with several diagnosis. Heart, lung, kidney and brain damage due to a disease that went unfounded for years. That disease is called lupus. I became depressed and wanted the pain and the world to go away. With my attitude, I was hurting myself and my family. My mother always knew that I loved dogs. So, my mother began to send me to see a family friend who had dogs. While visiting with the dogs, I fell in love with a big, fun-loving basset hound. My mother knew instantly a basset hound was all the therapy I needed. And on January 28.2003 I received a birthday card stating "Mama, I'll be home soon." And when it was warm enough to ship her by plane, I got "lupie." Once again, I say thank you and best of luck to all your family, humans and bassets. We are a happy family thanks to you. Thank You, Natasha R. Rickoff (Posted 04/05/04) |
Hey, Isn't that how they say hello in the south? I
resided in your fair state for 11 years sharing time between Auburn and
Montgomery thanks to Uncle Sam. Now my boys and I are back home in PA. Just
wanted to drop a line to you and tell you how happy we are with Bullett. He
was born on the 1st of Jan 2003 and from the moment we picked him up at the
airport he was special. The photo is of Bullett hanging on the couch with
his buddy Jose Cuervo and the remote. Braxton my youngest son who was also
born in Alabama has the best friend that he always wanted and for that Mr.
Roy I am eternally grateful. Blaise Schreyer and the Boys from PA (Posted

Hi Roy, Around 2 years ago we adopted our basset from you. He was
born 7/27/01 and his parents are Digger and Shelby. It turns out that he has
some of Digger's habits, physique and mischief like qualities. He has
Shelby's expressions at times. He has one blue and one brown eye which is so
adorable and very unique. He even travels with us on vacation and it's fun
to take him with us. His name is Patrick, nicknamed Mr. Paddy Man. I'm
sending you a photo taken several months ago. We love him, he has become
quite a gentleman, affectionate and loveable, gentle, very smart, feisty and
very cute. Patrick is a joy and pleasure and certainly a precious member of
our family. We thought you might like to see a picture of him. ~ Thank you
and God Bless, Kenneth & Erin Coiro, NY. (Posted 09/07/03) |
| Hi Roy, We just wanted to drop you a little note to let you know how "Kosmo" is doing. You sent him to us on June 7th and he is now four months old. He is so beautiful. We get compliments all the time and people actually stop in the middle of driving to see him and come out and say hello. He is so much fun and my eight year old son is enjoying him so much. I have pictures of him and they will be sent to you shortly. We hope all is well with you and your family too! Thank you again, Laura, Kenny and Lucas Truisi from New York. (Posted 08/14/03) |
Hi Roy -
To start this right I must say that Aspen the puppy we got through you is
quite possibly the funniest "personality" here on Our Earth. I have attached a
picture of her taken 4 days ago at our cabin while we where camping. She is 6
months now and just incredibly beautiful and FUNNY. We cannot thank you enough
for her. She has brought tremendous joy to our lives. She and Tabbetha our
other female Basset are what help to make life so fun. Aspen is a picture of
perfect health as well. She has passed all of her vet checks with flying
colors. She even likes to go to the doctor. Fun, Fun , Fun and I thank you so
much for your commitment to quality and temperament in your Bassets !!!. Take
care - Annie Dustin and Family !!! |
| Dear Mr. Roy: We want to thank you so much for our "babies"! I don't know what life would be like without Gracie & Wally. We got Gracie in May 2001 as company for me while my husband was away with his job in the Army. And from first sight I loved her. She was the perfect puppy and now the perfect dog. She is always loving and compassionate, when I am happy she is happy and when I am sad she comforts me. When we were shopping for Gracie, I saw a "blue" basset on your web site, and I told my husband when you had on of those I wanted one! So, this June when I saw one on your site for sale, I didn't hesitate. I called you up and came to get it that weekend. Well, Wally is the perfect addition, while he is completely opposite from Gracie, he's perfect. Everyone that we meet falls in love with them upon sight. And they love each other more than anything. I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the hard work that you do to ensure good breeding and quality pets! Love, Mark, Amy, Gracie & Wally |
| Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your heart and ethics. Your words reflect a soul that knows what a privilege it is to have these "little kids" in our lives. We have six bassets, each one precious, each one a family member with something to share. Thanks for this absolutely wonderful website and all the information you so generously share with such love. Most sincerely, Barbara Turpel Santa Rosa, CA |
| Roy, This is Angela Gargus from Attalla, Alabama again. I wanted to let you know that Daisy Mae (Vaughan's Victoria Vickie) is expecting her second litter. She is due August 29, Thursday. We are so excited about the arrival of our second litter. We now own 4 Basset hounds. Dexter, Daisy's husband. Dollie, their puppy from the first litter. And Dudley, a pick of the litter from Dexter. They are the funniest and most loving animals we could have ever hoped for. My husband and I sit on the back porch and watch them for hours. I would never own another breed of dog. I keep a check on your website for upcoming litters. Daisy Mae one of the many daughters of Digger. She was born on March 11, 1998. So far she has only produced black dominant puppies. We are hoping for another color from this litter. I will e-mail you when the new litter is born. Thank you for such a great dog and family member. You would really be proud of her. Angela, Eric, Maegan, and Dalton Gargus Attalla, Alabama |
| Roy, I just wanted to give you an update on our puppy Flash---he has brought a great deal of life into the house-my 15 year old shephard/lab is not too crazy about him but the rest of us just love him to pieces!!!! He goes to the beauty shop every couple of weeks-loves to run in the yard and soon will have his own fenced in part of the yard. He will be going to school soon as well---to learn manners-actually I think it is really for Ed and I to learn manners and then teach Flash. I am so happy we found your web site and enjoy Flash more every day. Denise Egan p/s will he ever stop stepping on his own ears???? |
| Roy: I purchased two pups from you in the summer. A boy and a girl from Digger and Kisses. They are absolutely the BEST bassets. I have never seen dogs with better temperaments. They are just the greatest. The boy takes after his mommy...he likes to give lots of "kisses." The little girl has her daddy's eyes, very droopy. They are now in California and enjoying the sun. They lay out of the grass and get their little bellies pink. They don't mind the sunscreen. Thanks Marlys A. Bergstrom, CA |
Hi Roy, Just wanted to drop you a quick note and tell you that Sukey Sue (pup of O'Rex
and Peggy Sue) is doing just wonderful. She is really growing. She gets so excited
running with the big dogs now. She just got her rabies and weighed in at almost 25 lbs.
Her sister Seeka (pup of Digger and Kisses) doesn't think she is any bigger than before.
But Sukey doesn't care, she knows who the boss is around here. I am attaching some
pictures of on of the most beautiful girls in the world! Just thought you might like to see
how she has grown. Thanks again for two wonderful pups, Carrie and Lloyd Swadling,
MI |
Roy, Mark and I bought a puppy from you this past September. I just wanted to send you a picture and let
you know that he's doing great. He's a good-looking dog, and we get compliments on him wherever we go.
Thanks! Ashlee |
| Hi Roy! I'm not sure if you remember us or not, but on December 22, my husband and I came from New York and picked up a tri-colored female from Peggy Sue and O'Rex. I just wanted to let you know how she is doing! She is adjusting to this cold weather very well! She loves to play in the snow and likes to eat it too! She is an adorable pup that everyone is in love with. We named her Ms. Dixie Mae in honor of her southern roots! We wanted to thank you for such a wonderful pup. She is a great part of the family and the highlight of our day! Sincerely, Kelli and Matt Ide, NY |
Roy, We just wanted to keep you updated on our baby boy, Luke. Luke was a pup of Goldie and
Digger that you personally delivered to Brandon, Mississippi during the middle of September. Luke, (on the right) is
now forty pounds and six months old, and the love of our lives (aside from his sister, Leia- who is on the left). Like so
many Americans, after September 11th, I was glued to the television; I watched ever second I could of the news to watch
the horrible tragedy unfold as it did. The more I watched, the more tears I shed. The more personal stories I heard, and
the more families I saw suffering, the harder it became to watch, but I still did. I couldn't get my mind off of the events
that had shaken our country. One week after the 11th, you delivered our baby Luke. I can't begin to tell you how much
this little pup helped me through those especially hard times. It was almost as if he was a little angel in disguise. He
lifted the mood of our home, and helped us keep our spirits up. He was the greatest thing that could have happened to
us. He was, and still is, the sweetest, most lovable little guy. He is always making us laugh, and has made his big
"sister" Leia the happiest basset around. They are like two peas in a pod- always playing and looking for things to get
into. Most of all, he has become a great companion to Leia, and of course Matt and I. We really appreciate you
bringing such a wonderful, lovable, sweet little basset into our lives! Thanks again, Roy!! Maria and Matt Felton.

| Hi, my name is Mariana, I am from South Africa. I have a 12 week old Basset Hound called Juli. She is a tri-color, obviously to me the most beautiful puppy there ever existed!!! As I do not know anyone else with a Basset Hound, and because I know so little about them and their ways, I started looking on the web, and found your site. Thank you so much for all the information. It was an absolute treat to read all the facts! It is so true, for example that little Juli absolutely believes that she is a lap dog!! She just want to sleep right on top of me, thinking that she is much smaller than she really is!!! Thank you again for all the information on the web, it was a pleasure reading it. | HI: I'm not sure if you remember me or not. You brought my puppy to me on Lake Martin on May 18th. I just wanted to keep you up dated, We have named him Watson. He is a beautiful dog. Everyone who sees him thinks he is the prettiest they have every seen. He weighs approximately 35 pounds, you warned me he would be big. What a loving dog,, but oh so stubborn lol. But he wants to please, and is slowly learning what I'm trying to teach him. I plan to move from the lake into Montgomery, I'm looking for a home there now. When I get there I think I will enroll in a dog training class with Watson, then perhaps he will be a little easier for me to handle. Oh yes I did buy a invisible fence, I was so afraid he would go off into the woods. one time being shocked is all it took he has never attempted to leave the yard. Even when he sees a deer at the top of the road. Hope you are well and all puppies are fine. Sincerely Sally Jones. |
| Hi Roy, I hope you got my phone message yesterday. The pup arrived safe and sound. She is joust wonderful. Today she has settled in a little more. She loves the yard and romps (or tries to romp!) around. She slept the night in her crate...with no complaints. She's been doing her business outside with a couple of oopsy's. I'm being as consistent as possible with her. I named her Daisy, my favorite flower and she is just as sweet. My boys have been with their Dad for the weekend so they do not know she has arrived. They will be here in about an hour so Daisy will be getting lots of loving! I just wanted to let you know that she is doing fine and also to thank you again. It's been a pleasure doing business with you and from the looks of things you may be getting more orders from Long Island. She's been the talk of the town in only two days! I'll keep in touch and let you know how she's doing..... |
| Roy, As of yesterday afternoon, I can say I am a PROUD "parent" of a 3-month old male basset name Vinnie. I am, like many other people who have chosen a young basset for their companion, going through some tuff times. I know pet ownership is going to take some work and patience. Reading information on your web site is going to be a great help. I want to thank you for creating and maintaining this great source of information for basset owners and their pets. God bless America and God bless bassets everywhere! Gus and Vinnie |
| Hi Roy, Well it is time for another puppy. We love our first one to death. She is just a little lover. I have never had a more loving dedicated dog in my entire life. The main reason we are getting another, and adding our name back to the waiting list. My son has a beagle/basset mix that he just adores. However the dog has some sever allergies, in which we have had him on medication for nearly 6 mo.. The dog just isn't getting better and is suffering. So we are going to give him to the Vet. for euthanasia. My son has requested a replacement pup and has stated that he wants a pup from Roy like Seeka. So here I am back. A happy customer returned. If possible we would like to try for another from Kisses and Digger. I will be sending a deposit in the next few days, to be placed on the waiting list. Thank you once again. Carrie Swadling, MI |
Roy,
Just wanted to tell you that Miss Dixie is doing fine as she nears her filth, month birthday. She is growing
longer each day. Here is a picture of her with my oldest daughter. Thanks again.
Don, TN |
Hi Roy. This is a picture of Oreo Cookie Claud (DCOO301B) or Oreo for short. She' s been
home almost a week and had a vet check today. She is just fine. I then took her to my kids
school and the kids had a ball playing with her. She is crate training and sleeping now the
whole night. We are still having accidents in the house thought. She is absolutely beautiful
and her face will melt an iceberg. She is a real sweetheart and I thank you for her. Thanks
again, John and Deirdre Claud...Champion, Michigan |
Roy, Here is a current picture of OP205D now known as Wyatt's Alabama Tugboat.
Tugboat is doing great and has been a welcome addition for the whole family.
Thanks a lot for sending us such a great pup. Regards, Bridger Feuz, CA |
Howdy Roy, Well, tomorrow is Romana's first birthday (5/10/01) and I just wanted to let you know that she
is the sweetest pup I've ever had, not to mention a goof just as I predicted. In the past year there's not a
one day that she hasn't done something to make me laugh. I just love her to death, and she's still soft as
velvet. Here's a Picture of her at about five months sitting on my back deck. She could still barely climb the
stairs at this point. :) Thank you so much, you can't imagine the joy she has brought to our lives. Love to
Digger and Kisses. Robb, TN |
| Hello! I am just writing to give you an update on the pup I got from you in February. His name is Mojo and he's spoiled silly. He's been gaining a lot of weight (20.5lbs now) and growing amazingly fast. He's the love of our life and gets along well with our cat. Everyday he changes, either more spots appear or his ears somehow get longer... Thank you for giving us our little buddy. We couldn't imagine life without him now. Sincerely, Joy Smetzer, OH |
Hello, Roy! Just wanted to let you know Walter is growing and loves to climb. I think he is part cat!
He loves to ride in the golf cart and chase it too. He has selective hearing, like most males! You
warned us that he would do that. He is a handsome fellow. One of the vets at the animal clinic said we
should just go ahead and have him neutered because there is not a female basset around in his league
to breed with. I have to get you a picture. He will be six months old 4/20/01. We love our Walter.
THANKS AGAIN!!! Lisa C. Bower-Pendley AL |
![]() Hey Roy, how have you been? My wife and I drove down to your place from
Chattanooga in November of 99 to pick up our little girl, Ms. Belle. I don't
know if you remember, she was the lemon pup of Rex and Mindy. She is the
sweetest girl dog ever! She could not have a happier disposition, I don't
think. She even wags at the vet. I have attached some pictures of her at
various stages of her life. The first is her laying next to my red and white
basset, Beau. This was a few days after we brought her home. The pair at the
window is fairly recent. It also has her "brother" in it. We say around here
that Beau is my dog, but Belle is Beau's dog. She loves him to pieces, and he
tolerates her energetic nuisance fairly well. He is 5 ½ years old, so he has
learned the joy of laying around all the time. Ms. Belle has yet to get that
lesson. She seems to have taken after her daddy, her last vet visit put her at 56
lbs. He said she was a little heavy, but Beau is 63 lbs and they say he is just
fine. She doesn't look fat to me. My wife Jen was kind of hoping that she
would take after her small mommy, but that was not to be. I hope things are
going well for you. I refer all my Basset friends at work to your page when
they tell me they are thinking about a pup. Buck is a silly looking dog, isn't
he? I bet he is just as friendly as he looks. Well, maybe we'll meet him
someday when we need another pup. Until then, stay well and keep those
beautiful bassets coming! Thanks for letting me update you on our wonderful
little girl, I hope my pictures don't break your modem. Josh & Jen Correll

Hi Roy, These are pictures of Rocket and Flash... The pups we got from you in
April of 1999. The left picture is right after we got them home and the
right side is them at about 1 ½ years old.... Mandagale H. |
Roy - This past August we purchased a basset from you. We drove from Orlando, FL. just to
pick him up! He is the best dog to travel with and loves our 4 yr old son to death. Sophie (our
2 yr old basset) didn't like the fact that we were bringing home another dog but she has
learned to deal with him quite well. Maybe one of these days I will get some puppies out of
them. I'm sure I will buy another one before that happens though. Bosco is getting big, he's
bigger then Sophie now and weighing around 50 lbs. The vet said he is in perfect health and
should make a good daddy! Here is the most recent picture of all of my babies. Thank again
for our wonderful baby! Helana, Khris, KJ, Sophie and Bosco, FL |
| Roy; We just wanted to let you know that Radar is doing quite well. He has settled right in here, he also survived his first look at snow! He is just about sleeping through the night. He is getting along with our other dog quite well although our older dog gets up each morning and looks at us with that questioning look as to why this little puppy is still here! Everybody thinks he's adorable people stop their cars on the street when we take him out for a walk wanting to pat him and know what kind of dog it is. We will send a picture when he is a little bigger, Thanks again for a great dog! Ruth and Steven Brediger. Lynn, MA |
| Hello Roy, Well, it's been a week and Walter loves his new home. He saw his Vet on Tues. The Vet said you know what you are doing because Walter is a perfect Basset. Everyone at the Animal Hospital came to look at him. The Vet said, we just don't see a baby Basset often. The kids took him to school on Friday for share day. The school went WILD. I'm sure a lot of people will be visiting your Site. We are excited that he is almost sleeping through the night. We will send you updated pictures as he grows. Madeline was excited to learn that Walter's grandmother was "Moonlighting Madeline". It was a pleasure to meet you and we will stay in touch. Have a Merry Christmas! Lisa C. Bowar Pendley, AL |
| Dear Roy: I can't tell you how excited we are to have Gracie. We got to the airport about ½ hour early and watched for her plane to come in. They were so careful getting her up to the terminal...she road inside the cab of their truck. When they put the kennel up on the counter and we saw her little face, we couldn't believe she was all ours. We took her out at the airport to give her a drink, she already was wagging her tail and looking us in the face...too cute. She road home in my son's lap and kept wagging her tail the whole way. He just kept saying she was the cutest thing he'd ever seen. We fed her when she got home and she played outside on our lawn. I just put her down in her kennel for a nap...a few whimpers, but she's sound asleep now. We just love her, Roy. She's beautiful and already has such a calm temperament. We'll be in touch. Sincerely, Kathy Embrey, CA |
| Roy, Hi its Michael Malfitani and I'm just updating you on Makoo's progress. He had his veterinary checkup yesterday and the vet said he was in perfect health. He's do back in a month. I'll keep you updated and possibly send pictures when he gets older. He has adapted very well and he's been really nice. He's also surprisingly smart when he wants to be.... but sometimes that stubbornness in him comes out and he won't listen.(pretty normal for the basset breed I guess). I also sent in his AKC registration today, so I should here from them in about a month or so. Anyway thanks for giving me such a great dog and when he gets bigger I'll send a few pictures and let you know how he's doing. Once again thank you. Sincerely, Michael & Makoo Malfitani CT |
Roy; Remember us Gil and Jo-Ann Rivera. Here is a picture of Lady. She's 16 mos. now and 50
lbs. She's very strong but extremely gentle. As you can see she looks a lot like O'Rex. She is
beautiful and a wonderful pet. We are very please with her and thank you again for a wonderful
family pet. We will keep in touch, now that our computer has a camera. Gil and Jo-Ann, NY |
| Roy, This is Russell Beall from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I recently bred the female I purchased from you. She had 10 pups...all lemon. 2 female & 8 male. The females are practically all white....true lemons. (they are so pretty!)I know you have several litters planned, but should you know of anyone in this area looking for a pup that you can't provide, or whatever...Please keep us in mind. This litter should be ready by the middle to end of July. Unfortunately, Sandy had a rough delivery and they had to be taken by C-section, and they had to remove her uterus B/C it was in such bad shape. So this will be her 1st and last litter. All of the pups are huge and healthy. I honestly don't know how you do this so often! It is a lot of work and responsibility, but I am glad you are putting out such good quality pups in a responsible fashion. There isn't a better dog in the world than a basset. Again, keep us in mind, we have 10 of these rascals to find good homes for! Thanks for everything. Russell, LA |
Hi Roy, I just wanted to write and thank you for Waldo. He is just beautiful. His personality is
wonderful and he loves everyone. I took him to the preschool where I work and he loved the
children as much as they loved him. He had a great first night and slept right through from 10 to
7 without an accident. He loves to be held and cuddled. We adore him already. The vet said he
looks great. Thanks again Judy Williams, NY |
Roy this is a picture of Little, Abner at 51/2 mo. The product of O'Rex and Peggy. We think he
is the greatest. He was born Oct 26, 1999 and was my husbands Christmas gift. He is now in
obedience training; even though we know he is already the smartest and most beautiful dog in
the world. He is truly a clown and we love him dearly. Sincerely; Joann Wilson, TX |
| Dear Roy, Just thought I'd update you on our Rosie girl who is 1 year old today. She is really a beautiful Basset and full of life! We love her dearly. She's healthy and believe it or not, she still has some of her puppy fur. I see that you still use her picture in your sample of your bassets and she is a good representation. It was that picture that made us fall in love with her. I see some similarities between her and her sisters that you kept from that littler although they are not tri-colored like her. I enjoy reading your web site and keep a look out for each new litter although two bassets are all we can handle right now. Keep up the good work! Stay well. Laura Barry from NJ |
| Roy, I wanted to drop a line and let you know that Mr. Gudo Lee my basset that I got from you the end of August is doing fine. He is five months old today and is at last weighting 28 lbs. He gets plenty of Love and exercise not to mention his mandatory play time. I have gotten many compliments on his appearance and personality, my vet says he is very healthy. Thanks for my sidekick. Patrick Cobb. NJ |
| Hi Roy, Just thought I'd say hi and tell you about Flash. I think she may be on her way to becoming the world's biggest basset. (lol) She is 8 months old now and just tipped the scales at 60lbs!! She has out grown her brother by almost 20lbs!! Both of the pups we bought from you are doing wonderful. Healthy and happy and obviously growing. Thanks again for the fabulous addition to our family. Mandagale Horner, FL |
| Roy: I just wanted to tell you that we have really enjoyed the female basset that we got from you. She is growing like a weed & we are about to take her to her first obedience class. She is an active puppy which is good as my experience is that older bassets tend to be lazy. Thanks for selling us her. We have named her Hannah Rose. Russell Stadelman II, FL |
| Dear Roy, Remember us? the people who drove all the way down from NJ to pick up the female that the people from Florida changed their mind on. O'Rex and Shelby's pup. We call her Rosie and she is not only the sweetest girl but is becoming a really beautiful basset. She still has her puppy fur and jumps and plays with her"sister" Lily( another 4 yr. basset). They are great friends. We are so pleased with her and maybe someday we'll get another, but two is enough for us right now. Thanks again. Laura Barry, NJ |
Hello Roy, I just wanted to let you know that the pup you sent to my husband (Patrick Pugh)
and I is simply wonderful. We named her Scarlet, and she is very spunky. Patrick says I spoil
her - but she is so cute I can't help myself. She goes for long walks with me and we get stopped
EVERYWHERE we go because she is so cute and funny. She plays with every dog she meets
from Black labs and Shitzus to pit bulls and Dalmatians! They all love her! Here is a picture of
her playing with me! Thanks Roy! Sincerely Diana Pugh, MA |
| Hello Roy, I received my puppy today and he is beautiful. He has a great temperament and doesn't mind being on a leash when we take him outside. I believe we made a great investment. Thank you very much for all the work you did for us we really appreciate it. Take care. Michelle and Brad Koehn, CO |
| Roy, this is Jill banks from KY and your new litter is beautiful. We are considering breeding Ruby (maybe in the future) and we want to get a mate from your crew. We were wondering who Casie'O's and Sally's mom and dad are. That's who we'd like to breed with, are either of those girls up for breeding? Well just an update on Miss Ruby. She's a handful. Very strong willed and physically VERY strong. She's growing like a weed and she LOVES everyone-human or animal! Needless to say, she's a social butterfly. But my husband and I are in major love with her and she has definitely completed our family. We wouldn't know what to do without her! Thank you so much for her. Oh, by the way, her best friend is an 85 lb lab mix named Bob. Can't wait to hear from you, I hope all is well. thanks Jill banks, KY |
| Hello Roy how is everything? Going good I hope. Hey I just wanted to write and let you know that "Ginger" is doing real
well. We have only had her a little over a week and already she is so spoiled rotten that you can smell her a mile away =) She LOVES the couch and she is so full of love for everyone that it is impossible not to be attached to her already. She is a beautiful pup and you should see my wife sits around and holds her like a baby. Oh well I 'll be going. We will send you a picture of her later. James, TN |
| Hi Roy, Just wanted to thank you, once again, for the BEAUTIFUL pup (OS8). I have named him Abraham (because he came from a "far country" - ha). He's doing very well. Had a good trip (stopped once for bathroom time and he cooperated, of course) and made it home without an accident. His first night was a little rough. The vet examined him yesterday and declared him fit as a fiddle. I will make an apt to have him wormed again in three weeks (vet's schedule). He is a great dog and I already love him to pieces. I can't wait for my kids to meet him - they're goanna flip. They will be home from college in May so he should still be a pretty little guy. I hope you sell all of the litters and they find terrific homes. I'm taking myself off the litter list as my mission has been accomplished, but I will certainly recommend you to anyone I hear is looking for a beautiful Basset. Thanks so much!! Liz Wilson, FL |
| Hi Roy- just to let you know that the pup is doing wonderful. He is a great pal for our other basset, Seymour. I can't tell you how many people (including our vet) have complimented us on the pup. thanks Frank Casale, NY Another note from Frank 08/27/1999 Hello Roy just an update on the pup I bought from you in may- he is doing wonderful and very healthy. many people asked me how I could buy a pup from a breeder so far away and put him on a plane to get here. Well, all I do is show them Stanley and they quickly change their minds. thanks Frank Casale, NY |
| Roy, Just a note to let you know that Baxter is doing great. He adapted very well to his new home and even made fast friends with our cat. He is spoiled rotten by all. He is a great puppy and smart too. He was very easy to potty train, and even learned to fetch. Even though we have only had him a short while, we can't imagine life around here without him. We love him to pieces. Thank you so much, Roger and Lisa Pickering, PA |
